Every year, HALL hand selects fruit from their four Napa Valley estate vineyards to craft their Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Each vineyard’s distinctive character plays a defining role in the resulting wine—a harmonious blend, powerful, fruit-driven, unique and well, wildly popular with our tasting staff!

“Time Out” opens with the rambunctious “Blue Rondo A La Turk”, which alternates between 9/8 and 4/4 time signatures. Pour yourself a glass of HALL Cabernet and take some time out to appreciate alternating fruit and earth aromas, blackberry/coal, currant/soy sauce.

Take your first sips with “Take Five”. The music’s gusty 5/4 time-signature is surprisingly easy to swing to – just don’t spill your wine! The HALL Cabernet boasts equally gutsy flavors of blackberry and leather, punctuated by tart black cherry flavors. Take Five sips and you’ll really be swinging.

“Time Out” goes out with a bang – “Pick Up Sticks” features a commanding Brubeck piano solo over Eugene Wright’s thumping bass. By this point, your HALL Cabernet will have opened up a little more, revealing flavors of plum and vanilla that carry through the wine’s lengthy finish.

The HALL Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful wine, with bold and rich fruit flavors, yet every now and again the wine shows its playful side – a hint of BBQ sauce here, a meaty texture there. Just as Brubeck did with the legendary “Time Out” recording, this wine keeps you on your toes but never leaves you on the dance floor without a partner. Enjoy one bottle now, open the next in 2-5 years, and wait 10 years for the third bottle if you can stand to wait. This wine will do as well with age as the “Time Out” recording has.
