D'Anbino Vineyards & Cellars was founded by John D'Andrea and Carmine Rubino, who enjoyed illustrious careers in the music recording industry before returning to their Italian heritage of winemaking. As partners in the Vineyard and Winery, John and Carmine have put their last names together to form D'Anbino and put the "Family Band" on the label. You can hear the Family Band and many of their notable musician friends perform at their unique tasting room-come-jazz club in Paso Robles, CA.

Named for the art of layering diverse instruments of the orchestra together to create a unified sound, Orchestration is the perfect accompaniment for the many ensemble albums and tracks included in The Complete Miles Davis box set. Layers of bright fruit, candied cherry, and smoky, woodsy aromas resonate on the palate along with the sultry tones of Kind of Blue and Sketches of Spain.

Quadraphonic, a predecessor to surround sound, used four speakers to engulf the listener in music. The D’Anbino version uses four varietals to immerse the palate with elegant and inviting aromas. Immerse yourself in this Cabernet-dominant blend and the previously unreleased “The Squirrels” and the classic ballad “Lover Man.” Currant and cedar aromas mingle with chocolate, violet and earth as this wine evolves on your palate.

2004 PORTAMENTO

Portamento is a musical term for a smooth glide from note to note, and just like Miles’ signature style, this Port-style dessert wine glides down quite smoothly. Aromas of chocolate covered cherries, praline, and molasses waft over the familiar Porgy and Bess album. Full, sweet, and very balanced in the mouth, this wine also shines throughout My Funny Valentine and leaves you with a lush and decadent finish.
