“The Climber” White is a Sauvignon Blanc based white blend, wonderful refreshment for hot August days and just the right thirst quencher after a Woodstock-esque mud fight! Passion fruit, grapefruit and honeysuckle on the nose lead to flavors of citrus, nectarine and peach that compliment the unique rhythms and melodies of Santana’s Latin rock. Viognier and White Muscat lend some floral components to “The Climber” which shine nicely when paired with the mellow jams of Jefferson Airplane’s set (check out the previously unissued recording of “Wooden Ships”).

Ready for the reds? Get started with “The Climber” Red Wine – a Zinfandel based red blend full of rich, ripe berry flavors. When paired with Janis Joplin’s legendary Woodstock performance, the earthier elements stand out – spice, cedar and fresh soil. When paired with Sly & the Family Stone’s rambunctious set, however, you’ll notice the jammy flavors are more prominent – ripe cherry and fresh raspberries are the star over exuberant performances of “Dance To The Music” and “I Want To Take You Higher”.

Johnny Winter was an unknown when he strutted on the stage at Woodstock, and he left a star. Napa Valley Cabernet is far from unknown – in fact, it has a reputation for being a scene-stealer. Kit’s Killer Cab expresses classic Cabernet character, with aromas of blackberry and tobacco, flavors of ripe black cherry and cassis, and a mouth-watering, fruit-driven finish that demands an encore.
