Flavors of espresso, and plum add to the lengthy finish as Christ Botti and Yo-Yo Ma regale us with Dona Nobis Pacem (Give Us Peace)/Auld Lang Syne.

Songs of Joy & Peace started with the idea of a musical party, a gathering of families and friends celebrating the joys of the holiday season. As I made my guest list and we discussed what each musician might contribute, I envisioned an atmosphere filled with the warmth of music, camaraderie and good cheer. The greatest thrill for me was the thought of old friends meeting new ones. From the spirit of loving interaction among Dave, Iola and Matt Brubeck to the wonderful music-making partnership with Diana Krall and John Clayton, the party was more wonderful than I could ever have imagined. I was awed and humbled by the sheer talent and generosity of my colleagues and now I want to share their music with you. Yoyoma
